Plain-language note: This is a one-time-purchase, personal-use license. You own your data; we own the software. LoanLedger is a record-keeping tool, not financial or legal advice.
1. License grant
Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of LoanLedger on Android devices you own or control, for your own lawful lending record-keeping.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices;
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable lending, consumer-protection or data-protection regulations.
3. Ownership
The app, including its design, code, and trademarks, is and remains our property and is protected by intellectual-property law. This Agreement grants a license, not a sale of the software. Your ledger data, however, is entirely yours — we claim no rights over the records you create.
4. Your responsibility
LoanLedger is a tool for recording and organising lending activity. You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of the figures, terms and records you enter;
- Ensuring your lending practices comply with all applicable laws and licensing requirements in Sri Lanka;
- Maintaining your own backups; and
- Any communications, including SMS reminders, you send to borrowers.
The app does not provide financial, tax or legal advice.
5. Updates
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Updates are provided at our discretion. Some updates may be required for continued operation or security.
6. Warranty disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet every requirement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.
8. Term & termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach its terms. Upon termination you must cease use and uninstall the app. Sections on ownership, warranty disclaimer and liability survive termination.
9. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
